Man that is pricey. I got one for the BW35 in my Charger ages ago.

I got it from Hemi Performance down it Nelson. I don't know if the BW35 and BW45 use the same inhibitor switch but it could be worth checking.

Not sure how much Hemi Performance NZ chargers but in Aussie they are $77

Or $55

I just rang, it would be a specail order, poor Rhys nearly fell off his stool too when I mentioned Avenger

$197 would be starting cost + freight

rebuild time (of old one) or scrounge off a BW55 (as ross mentioned 35 different & I note from the catalog 55's are lumped together

Hey Jared...Graeme (Avengerparts) has the BW45 inhibitor switch...drop him a line!

JoKer

avengertiger

hi jared out of interest what was the bw55 fitted to? and what was the difference? we have a 35 here taken out of a hunter if you need bits it may go to scrap.

JoKer

nah 35 are different, noted the 55 was on the same page/catalog posted above from atpnz.co.nz no idea where you would fine a 55 in real life

rebuilt my old one so good for now thanks guys :P

Switch is being a Dick : was ok for a WOF but not ideal only starting in Neutral currently

Will try Graeme too

sadly none in the Pasts I got from AZZA

internet link http://go4trans.com/transmission/bw45/bw45-electrical-parts-inhibitor-switch/

and another link

https://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/neutral-safety-switch

wonder if any of them could be made to work safely

TheMechanicnz

Could always bypass the switch or fit an external one. Not ideal, but would work. Have you tried giving the switch a good clean?
"It's better to enter a corner slow and come out fast than to go into a corner fast and come out dead"

JoKer

yeah had the guts out at least once, & yeah external was next step, micro switch on the gear lever etc

kierbear

Mine is bypassed and never checked during a wof check
