I purchased GQ4713 in 2001. It come from Dunedin. Here are a few pics I received from seller when I was considering the purchase

It was a basic car with a half cage and a few good bits inside, notably a 4.375 LSD, quick rack, Bilstein front struts with adjustable platforms and the engine had a big valve head and twin 45 Webbers. So it was basis to build on.
First task was to sort the electrics, I installed electronic ign, Dash, steering column controls and wiring loom from the MK2.
Next it was a full, multipoint roll cage and the rear brakes were changed to 9"

I also had it dyno'ed resulting with 105 at the rear wheels which I though was quite good.
I then started using it in a mixture of local sprints, hill climbs and rally sprints.

In 2003 I took it to a rally sprint in Wanganui resulting in a quick, but very damaging roll as a result if a rear lower link failure. I was fortunate to find a very tidy shell at Pick a Part. The re-shell was a good time to do all the tweaks in a shell that I had been storing away for years, so it was lighted as much as possible, seam welded and plated in various placings as well as a few other tricks.
I had always liked the look of a Tiger 2 with 4 headlights so that was the target and I was very pleased with the result.
