nissan are prone for the air flow meter crapping out which cause rough idle i had a pulsar which done it and mi dads bluebird done it

nissan/subaru unplug it see if it runs a tad better

The rear panels were pushed out at the biggest point by around 4cm. They managed to do it with no sheet metal work at all, they didn't even grind off the seam welds. It was covered in primer only because there was major paint cracking.

Not too bothered about the primer, will be going for a full panel and paint by the end of the year anyway.

They're practically right next to work so will constantly be dropping it off to get all my panelling done in small (affordable) bits at a time.

Nah, unplugging the AFM results in the engine stopping. I think it's probably the TPS. It's also running a bit rich at the moment.

Would you like to sell me that dark coupe in the pic? haha you have 2 beautiful cars haha and i like the work uve done congrats

Good to see some progress on it. Reminds me of how much I had to cut out of mine to make the wheels fit.

That pipe coming out of the side of the rocker just looks like the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation)

you don't really need it if that is the case. I just vent out to a catch tank. In both those photos they are just venting it back in to the intake over by the turbo.

I have never ran a PCV on my Avengers, it is too hard with dual carbs, plus I don't want to suck in oil in to my intake. My race car just vented to a powerade bottle and before I restored my '75 it just used to vent to the ground.

And the other cold start is just getting air from before the air flow meter, which is exactly what you are doing as long as that pipe connects before the airflow meter.

Try downloading a service manual and see if it has more on them.

It looks really cool in yellow with the tinted windows.

Are you going to do any black stripes or anything? not like a Tiger stripes but something cool like the Chargers or Cudas had.

oldschool

And that yellow tailpipe is particularly classy...lol

That looks awesome dude. can't wait to see it in person. Give me a yell when it is done and we will go for a cruise.

One suggestion, I would paint that allow radiator black, it stands out like dogs bullocks and ruins the look of the grille. Would like sweet with it all blacked out behind the grille.

Yeah, definitely need to black that out, as it stands out far too much.

I think I will also put some fine black mesh (not repco mesh!) behind those air-vents underneath the grille.

Cruise is probably a June thing. I wanted to do it certed. I'm one of those. The fine for being caught will cost nearly as much as the cert :P

Lovely looks really well, are you going bumper less or black ones?
She is a looker now alright look forward to seeing it all finished off.

Nikolai

Nah, I am going bumperless on the front. I prefer it as it gives it a meaner, tougher look - deserving of the engine inside :)

avenga

Man, that looks so amazing in yellow and black with the big black wheels.

Great choice with the paint.

Thanks. That must be the first photo I've got of it in the sun!

It's actually covered in a thick coating of dust; that is the first time it has left the storage which it's been sitting in for the last 7months+! Can't wait to see it all cleaned and polished.

Have been guaranteed that the surge tank setup will be completed by the end of the week, then will be time to get it running mint.

The Avenger hibernation has ended and I'm expecting some rapid progress in the next month.
