rocker shaft post query

People,

Does anyone recognise this thin shim / tube inserted into one of the rocker shaft posts.

As it happens its post #1, through which the oil feed passes, and the hole with the insert is the one which connects with the shaft bore - locking the shaft in place.

Only this rocker post has it.  Nothing shown in the manuals.

Is it a bodge ?

My car has one as Well, not sure what it's for though. Did look into it to much

it locates the shaft, the rocker shaft has an indent in it

Ah that's it, I thought there was a dowel pin instead.
