First post so please be gentle !

Its great to see such a lively Avenger scene in NZ.  There are literally a handful left in the UK.

My mate here in the UK is restoring a GT and we are trying to puzzle out the routing of the harness from the fusebox forwards.

We can see how its goes past the servo & solenoid.

Does it then go over / under or through the battery tray ?   There's a thin earth cable with a big eye in front of the battery which could, at a stretch, goes on the inner wing battery earth point, but it would be tight.  Is that right ?

If anyone can post some clear photos of a standard car that would be great.

Also, by the solenoid, there's a green and green/white pair of wires.  Are they the reversing light switch ?

Any suggestions for sourcing the twin choke cable ?  I think the Stag had a similar type ?

Thanks all.

Standard wiring? Of a 45 year car? You are having a laugh!

I'm out, sorry. Mines a mess. I did rewire a car once with a spare loom from a parts car though so it can't be too hard. I dod recall you just have to put it where the lengths of wires let you. The wired going to the starter mounted solenoid in particular mean that it wasn't as tidy as I would have liked. This was 10 years ago now that I did it though.
Chill Datto, bro!

I have completely Deloomed my engine bay and moved my battery to the boot so I can't go and check on my Avenger.

I do have some old photos of my engine bay before I restored my Avenger. It was a total mess back then and I don't know how original any of it was

sounds like you have most of it figured out yea that reverse switch has thrown me out a couple of times & yes the wires for the lights & such go under the battery tray

tho if you're not building a replica or show car then you can do what ever makes it work for lack of a better term :P

The wiring loom snakes down the inner guard beside the brake booster then along just above the brake pipe junction and under the battery tray. It comes out the front under the battery and down onto the r/h chassis rail, then around the front under the radiator to the l/h lights..there's holes in the body for the plastic restraining straps. The black earth wire with big eye goes on one of the r/h bumper bracket bolts. The reverse switch wiring is green and green/brown. The workshop manual wiring diagram is a big help in determining what wires do what function.

oh yea forgot to mention the Haynes Manual wiring section

its the wee red/white ones on the starter I sometimes get lost on too
