Dash cluster playing up

Hey guys, my dash is really playing up as when I indicate both the temp and oil pressure gauge "indicate" with my indicators (tick up and down) and when I turn my lights on all the gauges except the rev counter and speedo go straight up to maximum and the rev counter just drops down to zero and stops working. I've pulled my dash out and besides the plastic connections being held together by tape everything else seems OK. I cant see any disconnected wires, broken connections etc. What should I be looking for? also would anybody happen to know where to get new edge connectors for the back of the dash?

Check the dash earth wire is tight, its just beside the steering column on Rh side I think, remove the plastic cowl under the steering column to get access.
I had the same problem and it was a loose earth...
