wtb - gear stick surround/console

hey all,

as title, does anyone have a spare gbox stick surround/console? my avenger (75') doesnt have one and it looks silly (also I cut the new carpet a bit wrong haha)

Do you mean like the one I have in my '75?

It is actually of a late model Chrysler Avenger and it has been modified to fit.

I don't think any of the Hillman Avengers had a console around the gear stick. I'm not sure what the Alpine had but from my photos the only Hillman I see with anything around the gear stick is the UK GL, in a photo I have in a sales brochure the GL appears to have a flat plastic trim over the top of the transmission tunnel

My center console was taking out of something like this Chryslers Avenger



Here is it in my car. It is just held in place by some small brackets under the dash. It is pretty handy because I have all my cross overs for my stereo mounted to the back of it.

hah, yeh liek that. I assumed they were factory in the hillmans. might have to retrofit something random then. shouldnt have thrown out the escort ones I had....ah well

Sorry can't help with a console but having just converted my sons '78 to manual we need the top plate and boot that screws to the floor around the gearstick to tidy it up. It has the console pictured so we got that bit covered.
