Alternator - 17ACR ok replacement for 16ACR

Hi guys,

I have a 76 1600 super, alternator has given out, have contemplated having brushes and regulator replaced, but have seen trademe has 17ACRs for $180, currently have a 16 ACR in there. Any idea if the 17 ACR is a good replacement?

There's 4 types of classic ACR alternator that will fit the Avenger...

15 ACR 27A
16 ACR 34A
17 ACR 38A
18 ACR 43A

I have Brand New 55A ACR types for $180 plus post to members in NZ.
Means you can run modern stereos and accessories without running out of power!
Mine are much better value than a 38A 17ACR...PM me if interested, Ross.
