Hey guys looking into getting my car some nice new wheels but before I do does anyone know what the widest size is I can put on? Keen on something 7 inches but thinking may be too wide for being all standard. What have you guys had on?

Lots of discussions on here about that.
It's generally agreed you can go to 6" okay...after that you'll need to bend the guards or cut and fit flares.

I had 185/50/R14 on mine for a bit, They were ok but started to rub going over bumps after i had the suspension changed and lowered. The rims i had on at the time also had the incorrect offset pushing the wheel closer to the guards.

yea 7" touch the guards heaps/minor rolling required, had 17x7's on HN for a bit (looked rad)

not only that you need to be the Hulk to do 3 point turns/possibly good reason to do a powersteering install?

I _think_ 205's went better on the back and 215's on the front, I had an odd mix of 40's and 45 series too

Yeah I thought as much, planning on getting guards flared out once I lowered it just need to sort out what I can put before dropping it. I'll look at some other discussions, cheers :)

Have 8" on back and 7" fronts.  Bit of modifying required

Got some wheels for it a little while ago, some 13 x 7.5s on 205/60/13s now it's with the panelbeater to do my guards since we changed to some lower springs. Standard wheels tucking behind guards so it looked awsome! Just need some shorter shocks for the rear hahah

where did you manage to find a 205/13 tyres from? What make were they?

Got them through carter's tyres in tokoroa. They had to order them in for me and said may have trouble getting them again. Tyres are Hankooks if I recall correctly.
