Toe in is the only adjustment on Avengers, an easy DIY job to save $$$:
1. Check there's no mechanical problems, worn lower ball joints, tie rod ends or steering rack?
2. Set tyre pressures to 32 psi and park on a level surface with the hand brake on.
3. Remove all hubcaps and front mudflaps (if fitted) and put the steering wheel in the straight ahead position
4. Tie a long piece of string to the tail pipe and walk around the car pulling it tightly through the centres of all four wheels and then tie it off on the tail pipe again. If the car has rear mudflaps route the string between them and the rear tyres.
5. Check the Rear Sidewalls of the Front Tyres to see if there's a gap between the string and the tyre OR the string is bent by the tyre OR the string is just touching the tyre?
6. Turn the steering wheel so that either the front left tyre or the front right tyre rear sidewall is just touching the string without bending it, with the steering wheel closest to the straight ahead position.
7. Adjust the tie rod on the Opposite Side wheel to also make that tyre's rear sidewall just touches the string.
8. Tighten the tie rod adjustment nut, remove the string and refit any hubcaps/mudlaps = ALL FINISHED!!

Yep that's a good method.

Just after tracking it and all seems good. The ditch side (n/s) tyre was badly chewed so I wanted to track the car before fitting sorta-new tyres.

Turned the steeringwheel right from straight ahead to see the o/s tyre rear sidewall come off the string, so I pulled in the left n/s side arm.
Steeringwheel was back at straight ahead and the line just touching the rear front sidewalls.
Test time is coming and I need a set of front tyres. Has 155/80 R13 which are not only narrow but the diameter looks too small also. The spare is an old Michelin XZ 155 R13 and it is about 1'' greater in diameter. So the standard tyre was 155R13 and I believe 165/80 R13 or 175/70 R13 will still fit the rim.

Oh BTW somebody is keeping their fingers crossed with this!

Wonder what that lock set is for?! Has the older type key cap too. ''..not know what they fit..'' and by the guys username he sounds like a Polish fella working in England or something.
Sometimes you see stuff listed very vaguely and you get the feeling an Eastern Euro has moved into an old house and found stuff in the attic or shed. I got a neighbour a set of series 2 land-rover twin horns for ?10 and they worked perfectly.
Because there is a bid on the lock set I will not tipp the seller off, there are the type of asshole that takes pleasure in doing that so that it bids crazy but I just hope the bidder gets it and so makes a good job of his Avenger or Sunbeam.
