im desperatly in need of new window winders cause the ones i had were just crappy plastic and broke off fairly quickly, especially when they heated up in the beaut HB sun! instead of just getting new ones and waiting for them to break again, whats the alternative? can i  do something to make the crap ones better, or can you buy other ones that are better that will fit with my car?

good question! they are famously weak and something a bit more rugged would be the bees knees!

They switched to metal winders in the late model Chrysler Avengers. I guess they were having too many handles breaking.

You would have to change the whole regulator probably because the Hillman uses a big hex shaped part which locks in to the handle, and the later Chrysler Avengers have a more traditional spline type setup.
