Yeah, you can't hide anything from Richard...he's got a porno...I mean photographic memory!!

avenga

Haha,

But seriously, what does that picture have to do with your current claim if it was taken pre-2000? You can clearly see that it was taken ages ago because it isn't a rally car in those pictures.

edzackery : think I still have the thank you letter from the guys I sent $5 for using their phone to call my mum lol

proves how hard they try to find a reason to deny a claim eh?

I spent half an hr searching through my own posts and did not find it, I am sure I know what thread its out of though

avenga

yeah it is pretty lame trying to decline a claim because of a 12+ year old photo.

I found it by just google image searching 'Hillman Avenger Crash' It was halfway down the 2nd page of images. My crashed Avenger was on the first page :P

Here is a link to the Oldschool post http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27632&start=60 it is near the bottom of that page.

front doors is old news BUT I had not spotted the coat hanger yet AND yesterday found I have 2 speeds

2 SPEEDS!

on my window wiper!

avenga

Yup, Alpines/GLS have a 2 speed wiper. I want to grab one for my Alpine conversion.

Should also have a 2 speed fan/heater for memory.

yup but no heat, and all the foam has fallen out so I have air all the time

avenga

Yeah, I don't have heat in mine either. I am going to get it fixed as part of my restoration.

Glad you found a good stalk switch...don't forget to put a headlight relay in to protect it from burning out...I learnt the hard way!

avenga

Yup, that is the middle bit with the cigarette lighter. But it looks like there is a big box that goes around the heater and stereo, the supers never had that and I may need one for my conversion. Are you able to acquire the one off that Alpine for me?

That dash cluster looks really different also. they are different fuel/oil/temp/battery guages and they are on the wrong sides. Normally its fuel/battery on the left and oil/temp on the right, on that cluster they are opposite.

Yeah that cluster is different...I see it has an MPH speedo, so probably a 1500 Alpine...they may have had different gauges to the 1600?
