Who do I talk to about parts and work required to fit a Rover V8 into my 74 Avenger Estate?
Any help would be well appreciated!!!

What area are you in?

If you are in Auckland I get all my work done at Bygone Autos. Mal from Bygone Autos is an expert in Rovers so he would be the man to talk to.

He races a Rover in the targa and track races, he is currently doing another members SR20DE conversion.

Im in Palmy but the car's in Hamilton.
Are the sr20 conversions mainly sr20de for any reason or is sr20det still viable?
Also with the rover engine, is there a specific engine year or spec that I should be looking for?

avenga

There was plenty of room for the SR20DET. Can't see why it would be any harder to fit the SR20DET.

I will be talking to Mal later today so I will ask him what Rover engine is best to look for.

What about a 20V 4AGE?
My hillman already has a T50 gearbox and I've got a silvertop 4age sitting around.
Anyone know of any 4AGE conversions?

avenga

Can't see any reason why a 4AGE wouldn't work.

I haven't seen one done before but if you can fit a SR20 then you should be able to fit a 4AGE
