Hey guys,

haven't been around much lately, had a lot on, just settling into course at Fairview Motors Hamilton.

Thinking of building a solid 1600 avenger engine, but considering fuel injection and possibly a turbo charger.
Gotta get the racey side of me out!
I have a few problems on that side of things starting with.. I've been brought up with carberation, no clue at all about injectors.

I was looking around and thought perhaps an injector/turbo off of an older Toyota Mr2 would work, CT20 Turbo and Denso Electrionic fuel port injection.

Any info pleaseeee help

Cheers,
Taylor

Engine swap.

I really love the noise and general aesthetics of the OHV, but I would think this would be a bit past the poor old thing. Plus if you do it right the old way you certainly get enough power. Guy I met a few years back with a Tiger replica had an awesome anecdote about dragging off a brand new FPV GTP and leaving him in the dust.
Chill Datto, bro!

One of our members brought a turbo kit for an Avenger off trademe. Don't know if that member ever got it going or not. The guy he brought it off had the turbo running in another Avenger because a friend of mine has seen it run at Meremere.

Why not run suck through carb turbo, would be a pretty easy conversion, Just get 1x 1"3/4 SU Carb off the lights of a Triumph 2.5, Make up a turbo exhaust manifold and run something like a TD04 or TD05 From A mitsubishi GSR or Evo..... As you can tell this has crossed my mind once or twice.
