wiper upgrades

single speed wipers that don't self park are annoying. can i get a later model unit and swap it in? what part of the system controls the speed options?

i do have an aftermarket delay unit which i was looking to use, but that doesn't help when the sky just opens up. i've had to pull over and wait for the storm to quieten down before - which was fine when on slow suburban streets but not so nice on the southern motorway i would expect.

They have an Alpine at Smash Palace in Ohakune, you'll need to get the wiper motor and steering column wiper switch.
I think it's a later one with electric windscreen washers, so no manual pump on the wiper switch.
Wipers not self-parking is caused by a broken park contact spring in the wiper motor.
