Thats next on the agenda. Nice 2 inch Exhaust system with a coby hotdog & 1 muffler. None of that Ugly boy racer spec "big bore Dumpy" crap.

oldschool

Hey...nothing wrong with Strombergs...just have tuning problems when the spindles get worn, like any old carby.
Triumph, Rover, Vauxhall and Jag used them for years and they're actually superior to SU's...being more responsive and economical.
Jag had to replace their E-type SU carbs with Strombergs to meet emissions standards for the US market!!

Yea, I must say I find strombergs easyer to tune than SU's Especially CD150-CD3's were you use the allan key down the dashpot to adjust the mix. Ive had both strombergs & SU's On my triumphs in the past, I didnt notice a great deal of diffrence on fuel economy. But the U.S has some super stringent regulations to "federalise" there imported vehicles.

BOOYA!! it runs! took it for a quick spin around the block. Needs a proper tune now.

Cheers I was stoked as. It seems to run pretty good. Also I noticed That the gearbox is about 10x more smoother & quieter now ive put 10w40 motor oil in it. It looked (and smelt) like it had 80w90 Hypoid gear oil in it.

it definitely had 10w40 in as I did a oil change (accidentally lol) when I replaced the UJs in the driveshaft. brought 10w40 especially.
