also, they need to be blatantly riveted/screwed on, none of this bog and smoothed shit. wont suit the lines of the car if they are smoothed into the panels.

^^^ Seconded.

Also, you will have to be careful not to overdo it. Or else you might as well get yourself a Metro and a Burberry Cap.

I am assuming the running gear in that thing is hot enough to justify all the extras? You almost will need to start thinking v8 if you go much further ;)

rear flares are yuck. way to big/deep. put ones like the fronts on the rear and it will look choice.

Yeah I was a bit iffy about the rear flare myself. I do like it but I think it is a bit too big. I think the front one is too small for the rear. Needs to be more like the A9X rear flare in the photoshop image.

Yeah that is why I like the A9X style with the big hex nuts etc in the photoshop.

Yes the running gear is plenty hot enough. It has a hot 1500 with dual dellortos and a 5 speed sierra gearbox. It sounds like a race car.

Engine shot!!

Still got a functioning heater with original pipes, even? That's a rarity...
Chill Datto, bro!

avenga

Yeah the heater works but the fan doesn't. I am going to fix that when I put in the Alpine dashboard.

Okay so I went down to Bygone Autos again today to play around with some flare option. We repositioned the original flares we had on the rear and then we tried the front flares on the rear wheels.

Side on the front flares don't look right on the rear because they the wheel arch is too rounded so we are making a new one off a capri to see if it looks better.

This is the original flare repositioned.

Front flare moved to the rear.

Your main issue is going to be the rear doors. It's almost not going to work unless you consign yourself to never being able to open them again.
Chill Datto, bro!

avenga

The ones in the 2nd shot don't interfere with the doors. If you look closely they end well before the door.

This was another reason I like the 2nd design better. I will post a photo showing the gap between the flare and the door soon.

Here is a shot of the clearance between the door and the rear flare, this is using the smaller flare.

Hi how much for the bonnett and boot lid minus the rear spoiler and do they have all the braceing in them

avenga

Hi, Yes they both have all the bracing in them.

With the boot the rear spoiler is integrated in to the mold so it can't be removed.

I will PM you prices.
