Hi all, just wondering if anyone has or knows where to get a boss kit for my Avenger, I've looked around and just cant seem to find much so if anyone can help that would be much appreciated :D

Wildcat used to but they don't make them anymore.

I have one on my '75 and '80 and I sold my spare one to Andrew (Hunted) earlier this year.

They are pretty hard to find now days. I think I remember some talk of converting a boss kit from another car.

That's right Richard, a Mk1 Escort boss kit can be made to fit, available from Griffiths Equipment...

SAAS BK13L Boss Kit

You'll need to machine off about 1cm from the bottom of the boss outer cylinder, so it will clear the plastic steering column surround and also file the indicator self-canceling keyway to suit the Avenger.

SAAS BK13L Boss Kit

Andrew rung up griffiths (Wildcat) earlier this year and they said they no longer make that boss kit and haven't for years. I just guess they just haven't updated their catalog.

Quote from: HuntedGriffiths just got back to me, and said they havent had them in stock for 5-6 years

They don't have Wildcat anymore as it's obsolete, but I thought they still had SAAS ones available with the Momo fitting?
Their website is under going maintenance at the moment, so we can't check their SAAS listings.
A guy on TradeMe selling Mk2 Escort Boss Kits said he can supply the Mk1's too...

Yeah it is worth a try. I use a SAAS wheel on my Avenger. I pointed Hunted to their website and the SAAS part number when he inquired about them.

I would say try Griffiths again and if you have no luck then try a Mk1 Escort one.

I think the seller on TradeMe is getting Mitsubishi (Japan) mixed up with Mitsubishi USA (Dodge) mixed up with Chrysler (USA) New Avenger mixed up with Hillman (UK) Old Avenger...lol

avenga

haha. Thanks for the correction Ross.
