Would be nice, but thirsty of course....lol
Wonder if anyone makes a single Dellorto Avenger manifold?
Saw one on an MG when we were in Hastings - looked great - probably went well too, without being too thirsty!

hunted

haha yes very thirsty. Also, its really not worth it unless you have work done elsewhere on the motor.

avenga

Yeah you really need to do heaps to an engine to get the dellortos to work but those manifolds are rare so if you were ever thinking about doing it then they would be good to have.

yes you can get a fannymold for a single 40 or 45 here is one for sale on asoc in the uk for 350gb complete

Lynx make some wierd manifolds.

Here is a single weber for a Valiant 225 sloper

They also made a dual SU manifold for the Valiant Hemi 6

really have to wonder how much og an imbalance there is between the amount of air/fuel getting into each cylinder. I suppose the suction create in the bores would essentially shift the same amount of air/fuel for each cylinder so it wouldnt really matter

avenga

Yeah that is a huge problem with that. 3,4 are really rich then 2,5 are good and 1,6 are lean.

This is a standard manifold for a hemi 6

This is what I run, it has longer middle runners to help

With a plenum pig to help airflow

The slopers had more room so they had this to solve the problem completely

ah sweet cheers for that.

moral of the story however, is just run SU's at a maximum of 2 cylinders per carb. and if they are shiny then thats a bonus

WOW some of those manifolds are sick...that Elko one must have enormous throttle lag....lol
Check out this hemi side draught on a Charger for sale on TradeMe...cyls 1 and 6 would be lucky to get any fuel....haha

Or run Dellortos, nothing like having 1 carb per cylinder.

Haha that is the worst carb setup I have seen on a Charger, wonder how it goes.

Yeah you would get heaps of throttle lag on that last one but you would get heaps more top end.

There was a factory option called the "Hyper-pak" which had long runners like that.

For the 265 hemi the performance model was the "six pack" triple 48mm webers

Hello my name is Rodrigo, I'm from Argentina and I have a Dodge 1500.Es a car much like the Hillman Avenger would be like a distant cousin jeje.Estoy interested in getting a intake manifold like the picture to put a webber 40 / 40 to have better performance, please let me know if you know of any that the venta.Un hug from Argentina

avenga

Hi Rodrigo. Welcome to the forum. We are very interested in the dodge 1500's. What model 1500 do you have? does it have the 1800cc engine? we only got 1300/1600cc engines in New Zealand.

As for the manifold there is a single weber lynx manifold on Ebay UK at the moment

Or if you want dual weber then there is a dual monifold on Ebay also.

Ebay UK is probably the best place to look for performance parts as they are pretty hard to find in New Zealand. I had to get my dual weber manifold from Australia. Here is a picture of my engine bay. I run dual dellorto DHLA40 carbs.

Feel free to make a post under the Avenger Related section and or Members Gallery section and tell us all about your Dodge 1500
