Hey guys, my partner and I have just brought a Valiant, we cant seem to find the vin # or any vehicle identification - any idea where we may find this?
Can send photos if needed :)

Thanks,
Emma

It depends on the model and where it was made.

Can you let me know more info about the Valiant?

Is it NZ or Aussie assembled? What model? AP6, VH, CL etc?

hi :) thanks for the prompt reply!!!

the car is a 1973 Chrysler 4D6A, purchased here in New Zealand/Taranaki.

Have asked the previous owner who had stripped it and painted the interior if he has the plate/vinn but we cant seem to find it :(

any help as to where it may be placed would be awesome!

Cool.

I have a 1972 Chrysler Valiant Charger.

If it's an NZ assembled Valiant then there should be a plate riveted to the slam panel, I think it's over by the battery side, I'll double check on my Charger next week

It should be something like NZAVJ8H3425

The NZ Valiant tag is the same size and style as the Avenger tags

If it is Aussie assembled it should be on the firewall, and it's a bigger tag like this

You can see it on the left hand side of the firewall in this shot
