Lost key

Hi guys my son is restoring a 1979 Chrysler avenger gls  and unfortunately has lost the one and only key for it Typical teenager lol anyone out there have any ideas on what he can do ? Or know if any other keys are compatible Were there only a few different keys for this model and maby he could get one cut off someone in Christchurch if this is the case ?? I know I have a bunch of keys & some work in others with little encouragement

He's suggested drivers Door lock out, and unlikely there's a code on it but a Local lock smith should be able to deconstruct & work it out from that aspect

Thanks mate we will give that a crack but will still try and track down a ignition key just never know and could get lucky Cheers
