Hi all. I am on the look out for a 2 door sedan avenger rolling body or ongoing project to be used for a project with dad.

I know these are hard to find so also let me know about good 4 door sedans as well.

In south island would be better but would consider north island cars if of a better starting point.
Rego on hold would be perfect.

He would be very lucky to find one. They never sold them over here because Todd Motors wanted to sell the Avenger as a 4 door and the Mitsubishi Colt as a 2 Door so they didn't compete.

As far as I know there is less than a dozen  2 doors in NZ, all privately imported, most of them as Rally cars. I think Miles A.K.A NZTiger knows where most of them are.

Mike has the one you posted. There was one down in Wanganui that I saw at the Kumeu carshow many years back.

Other than that they are very hard to come by, other than Mike's I have never seen one come up for sale.

Both Mike's 2 door and a rusty 2 door have been for sale in the last few years..Mike's for $30k and the other one for $3k I think. Searching through old forum posts will find them.

Mikes Rally car originally built by Tony Ornstein.
Ex Roddy Murdock's Shellsport race car I believe lives in Queenstown. I've meet the owner.
There used to be a very tidy 1600GT Yellow or Orange with 3/4 vinyl roof used to live in Stokes Valley and I think that has gone north.
There is an Aquarius one with a rear Tiger spoiler I've seen pics of...Hamilton?? (I think that this one and mine were owned by the same person at one stage and one good car was made from the two as I have an Aquarius door in poor condition....)

I think only about 6 were privately imported.

Yeah, that is the only thing I don't like about the 2 door. The swage / coke bottle look is so 70's like the Mk3 Cortina, or the Mk2 Escort, or my Charger.

the seller of that 2 door is the guy with the yellow and red brm rally car jared put up the photo of in pics i think thats why it comes with the panels express panels sponsor his rally car
