Title: Losing water
Post by: 1981 Avenger on July 14, 2013, 12:04:45 PM
Hi, I am having problems with my chrysler, it is sucking the water from the radiator into the over flow tank and not returning also there is a little tube coming of the over flow tank and it is spitting water from there as well does any one have any idea why it is doing this?

It could have a faulty radiator cap not maintaining pressure in the cooling system, which allows the water to escape out of the radiator.
Refill the radiator and warm up the engine. The top radiator hose will get hot and should feel 'tight' to squeeze from the hot water pressure inside.
If it feels 'loose' the radiator cap is faulty and needs replacing.

Hi the radiator cap seems tight, but i think the sensor at the bottom isnt sealing as there was a little bit of water under there and when you move it, it sprays out.
