Looks fuel infected.
It also has ABS.
I wonder how it would go.
Be interesting to see if you could buy a brand new engine from Iran, Imagine that! A brand new fuel injected Avenger engine.
They renamed it the Bardo but in the pictures the badges still say Paykan.

Max torque (Nm) 104 N.m @3750rpm
Compression ratio 7.8:1
No. of valves 8
Fuel type usual gasoline (87 RON rate) or unleaded type

How cool, good work Rich, alloy head too! wonder what they go like
haha sweet
Max power (hp) 49 KW @5000 rpm Which is about 65HP. Doesn't say if that is at the flywheel or wheels. I would say it is at the flywheel so that would be about the same as a standard 1600.
It is low compression so you could probably just convert it over to high compression by swapping the pistons over to normal 1600 pistons (Back in the day they used a recessed crown piston to lower the compression) or you could turbo it.
Yeah, HC pistons, a warmer cam, chip the computer and she'd be a racer...just a bit tricky doing business with Iran...

Pity its in Iran, put the head and induction on a alpine 1600 should be the go
Looks like they sell those spares...we better put together an order!!

Man thats sic imagine telling people you've got a brand new avenger motor! Nobody would believe you then explain where the motor come from, people would think you are nuts!
lol i just took mine over the 200,000km mark so it currently just says 00094kms. Just tell people its a fresh rebuild and that im only up to 94kms hahaha
cross posting this back to the other thread on these : https://www.avenger.co.nz/forum/index.php?topic=937.0
